I am a Tampa Bay-based writer who holds a Masters of Arts degree in English from American University in Washington, D.C. and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. Michael’s College in Burlington, Vermont.
Prior to beginning my writing business, I lived in Washington, D.C. for ten years and worked for the U.S. Department of Education writing articles for the Secretary of Education and letters on behalf of the President of the United States.
My work experience also includes five years on staff at the Utica National Insurance Group. As a writer in their Corporate Communications office, I wrote marketing material for a variety of insurance lines, wrote and edited newsletters, was editor of the company’s magazine and managed production of the company’s annual report.
While at the Utica National Insurance Group I also served as a Meeting Planner for the company’s agent incentive events. Multi-million dollar, multi-day meetings I oversaw included trips to Montreal, Canada, Williamsburg, Virginia and Lake George, New York.
